Yup, let's say a simday is any time period you want it to be. Or maybe sim characters, are technologically enhanced by Admiral Landgraab's biotech. Hence the weird aging, seasons, the way plants and other stuff grows, it's all biotech. Yup, that includes the townie generating system, "truly single parents", the Ottomas baby randomizing, teens having parents on their first day of YA or TS2!Adult, ghost babies, confetti-based insta-aging, the whole teens-into-YA stuff you get when you go to University, and the hair\eye mutations like the poo-brown hair and purple eyes.
Also, i think Sunset Valley AKA Pleasantwiew, Appaloosa Plains, Twinbrook + Barnacle Bay (they're nearby), Bridgeport AKA Downtown, Riverwiew AKA Riverblossom Hills, Starlight Shores AKA Strangetown, Veronaville AKA Melbourne, Champs Les Sims, Al Simhara, Shang Sim La, Bluewater Village, Desiderata Valley, the various Universities, Twikkii Islands, Takemizu Village, Three Lakes, Isla Paradiso, Belladonna Cove AKA Hidden Springs, Moonlight Falls, Monte Vista, Aurora Skies, Sunlit Tides, Roaring Heights, and Lucky Palms are the only naturally occurring, real places that Sim inhabit in. Together they form SimCity, even tho some of them are far away from each other.
Dragon Valley and Midnight Hollow were magically created. Midnight Hollow was created by a long-lost witch aunt of the Goth Family quite a few generations above Victor and Gretle. Dragon Valley, instead, was made by the very first elf, who was born in medieval times from two humans. He\she used his\her powers to make a magical land from the willpower within his heart, cuz he\she predicted the main TSM kingdom's king and queen (ancestors of the Goth family & founders of SimCity) would go on conquering the elf kingdom, b\c the first elf OFC went on be the king of the elves. When his kingdom was conquered by the ancestral Goths and Landgraabs (Lande-Graabe, whatevs.) the current line of elven royalty (the Mithrilen) & their most loyal servants\knights, moved into the magical land, and they brought in the last dragons. Also, the elves' skin became mutticolored as a result of entering the magical land that was now called Dragon Valley.
Lunar Lakes, Oasis Landing, and the custom TS2 neighboorhoods, are instead biotech. Technically "made in a bubble" you could say. Lunar Lakes tho was actually made by adapting terraforming "biotech bubble-like" technology to the moon (or one of the moons) of the planet where SimCity is. (unless it's actually an artificial moon... Or maybe OL is on the abduction aliens' home planet?)
